CoSIDA College Division Management Advisory Committee
2011-12 College Division Management Advisory Committee (CDMAC)
• Division II-SIDA
• Division III- SIDA
• NAIA –SIDA
• Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS)
The CDMAC is an "umbrella" management group that includes NCAA DII-SIDA, NCAA DIII-SIDA, NAIA-SIDA, CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) and two-year institutions. Chaired in 2011-12 by Blake Timm (Pacific, Ore.), it focuses on joint-based issues, challenges and opportunities that arise that should include input from all of these divisional groups as a key component of the decision making process.
The leadership of the CDMAC works with the CoSIDA Executive Director and the Presidents of various divisional SIDA organizations to build appropriate working relationships with the NCAA and NAIA national offices as well as the leadership of the various divisional Athletics Director Associations and the Conference Commissioner Groups.
The CDMAC leadership group includes each of the respective Presidents of DII-SIDA, DIII-SIDA, NAIA-SIDA and CIS. It also includes all College Division representatives on the CoSIDA Board of Directors as well as at-large appointees, regional-based representatives, and recent recipient of the College Division “Rising Star” award.
The CDMAC holds regular conference calls and among their responsibilities are to conduct appropriate membership based continuing education conference calls and webinars, arrange conference calls with the leadership of other national division specific organizations, develop and finalize specific "College Division Programming" for the annual CoSIDA Convention, and nominate deserving individuals for leadership positions and organizational awards. In short, it jointly works to represent these respective divisions within CoSIDA and seeks to pro-actively advance specific inititiatives within the overall structure of CoSIDA.
